Installing Slackware v. 10.2
Please excuse my ignorance here. I am attempting to install Slackware on an old box. I have read everything available on slackware.com, this forum, and a few others and I still haven't found an answer to my question. I created the bootdisk and rootdisk floppies I need, and now I'm trying to create the ISO. My main problem is that I'm not sure what I need to burn and what I can leave out. The total size is over 2 gigs and I do not have a DVD burner.
Subdirectories include "bootdisks, extra, isolinux, kernels, pasture, rootdisks, slackware (subdirectories are software sets), source, testing." What exactly am I supposed to choose here? Of course, the isolinux subdirectory seems the most logical choice, but is there anything else I should burn? Thank you in advance! |
You should be able to download and burn the ISOs directory (e.g. ftp://slackware.mirrors.tds.net/pub/...are-10.2-iso/). Not all the mirrors have the ISOs, so you can pick one that does or use BitTorrent.

Thank you so much! I didn't even see that. It just goes to show that I should take a break when I get tired. Thanks again!
