Question Installing separate development packages

Hi to all!

Well, as you see I'm a newbie and this is my first post to this forum. I have a problem with my installation and I want to ask for help. I use Fedora Core 4 in my university, that is why i really dont have permission to do everything. I installed FC4 but I didnt include the KDE development packages on installation. Now I realized that I need them. Is there a way to install separate packages from a network image without booting from CD (obviously I dont have one). I.e. can I use rpm to install packages from a network image on another server? Thank you in advance for the help.

Yes there is. Look into setting up yum (there are several guides to it on the Web). Then you can just type "yum install kde-devel" as root and the RPM will be downloaded and installed for you. You can also iuse yum to update existing software on the system.
