Installing Redhat 9 on Dell poweredge 2650 rack server
 

Hello
Has anyone tried installing redhat linux ver 9 on a dell 2650 server? Any issues. I noticed dell 2650 server drivers for linux redhat only goes to ver 7.0. Can I use these instead? If not available or non existence can I use fedora 10. At least these don't need a license compared to Win2003. I just wanna host websites on these babies.

I wouldn't use redhat 9 it hasn't been supported for like 6 years..

For a Server, if you want a redhat based Distro I would suggest looking at Centos 5.3 it's the equivalend of Redhat Enterprise Linux 5.3.

the aacraid driver module for the PERC3/DI controller which is most likely in that server, should already be included in Centos 5.3, so you shouldn't have to worry about downloading a driver.
