Installing RedHat 8
 

I was wondering if anyone knows about problems with RedHat 8 and nvidia and/or ASUS motherboards? I have tried the RH website errata page, but that only has security listings. I can't use the graphical installation... i have done the install in text mode and when i reboot and startx It doesn't work... I then proceeded to rpmbuild --rebuild and install the Nvidia kernel and GLX drivers, everything was ok until I went to edit the /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 file, which wasn't there... at that point i just gave up and re-installed mandrake.
If anyone has info that could help or knows where i might find it I would really appreciate it... here's my system setup

60gb Samsung Spinpoint (hda)
40gb Western Digital (hdb)

19in HP M90 monitor

Did you have an "/etc/X11/XF86Config" file (without the "-4" on the end)?

I didn't see one.
