Installing question
When I install things like Firefox and thunderbird.
What directory do I put it in? Anyone I want? How do I get it in the programs section? I'm sorry but I'm completey new to installing without a rpm. |
Yeah install it into whatever directory you want, I recommend one that isn't tied to anything else, but that is up to you.
What do mean by get it in the programs section. Sorry I don't use X often. |
I meant the start menu thing. I would like firefox and thunderbird to show up on that after I install them.
|
I just heard you can hit alt and F2 to bring up command, then type menudrake. Once Menudrake has popped up type in the name and command in all to add to the "start menu"
|
If you didn't use SuSE RPMs for the install you'll
have to manually add the programs to the KDE menu. Right-click K -> menu editor Cheers, Tink |
depends on what "start menu" you are using....
if you are using KDE, use the KDE menu editor... (right click it) |
You all rock thanks for the help!!!!!!!!! \m/
