Installing qmail...

Ok I had no idea as to where the best place would have been to put this, but compared to most of you guys, I'm probably a newbie to linux.

I also know this isn't a qmail distro list...as a precursor to the smartass who'd probably say it anyways

Anyhow:

After gzip'ing and un-tar'ing the download file i got from cr.yp.to, I checked out the associated install file and got through the first step ok.

Step two asks that I create all my users and groups, and after doing it, I've no idea where the records for these are stored because when i check my compilation and config files for errors with make setup check i get an "error 111" 'unable to find user alias'. I've no idea what the problem is, anyone run into this before, or have any suggestions as to how I can fix it?

Did you follow the directions in INSTALL.ids? If so you should see the users in /etc/passwd. Do you?
