installing programs with RH 8.0
 

I am a real newbie at Linux. When I get updated RPM's from Red Hat do they automatically load? Or do I have to load them? If I do have to load them how do I go about this? I have a book but I am to lazy to read and not patient enough to read. Thank you all in advance who reply.

type man rpm. if you are too lazy to do that, well your in trouble, but hey here u go: to install the package, type: rpm -iv <packagename>
-some friendly advice, if your too lazy to read there's not really a point to running linux.
