I need to install a printer driver for HP 1300 How do I do this, I need to print.

When I installed HPLIP I didn't have to install a driver for my HP printer.

The kernel provided (module) support for my printer.

Install HPLIP, then use the HPLIP tools to set up the printer.

HPLIP should be in the repos. Note that the HLIP GUI is usually a separate package; if you want the GUI tools, you will need to install them separately.
