installing pptp - error

After installing all the rpm as per the instructions on the sourrceforge website "pptpclient.sourceforge.net/howto-suse-91.phtml". I get the following error attempting to run "pptpconfig"

Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib/php-pcntl/lib/php/extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20020429/php_gtk.so' - libglade.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in /usr/bin/pptpconfig.php on line 31

Fatal error: Cannot instantiate non-existent class: gdkcolor in /usr/bin/pptpconfig.php on line 96

Any ideas how to ccorrect this problem.

Thanks.

I am having the exact same problem. I am running Fedora Core 3, 2.6.9.

I installed the packages in the order listed on the sourceforge pptpconfig site:

pptp-linux-1.5.0-3.i386.rpm
php-pcntl-4.3.9-2.i386.rpm
php-gtk-pcntl-1.0.1-2.i386.rpm
pptpconfig-20040722-4.noarch.rpm

The problem (so far as I can tell) is one of the packages above (maybe php-gtk-pcntl) was compiled without support for something called Scintilla, and pptpconfig needs this to run. I tried installing scintilla-gtk using rpm and reinstalling all of the above rpms, but no luck. Scintilla appears to be a text editor, so I don't know why pptpconfig would need it. I read that you can build php-gtk-pcntl without scintilla support to fix the problem, but I can't find src rpms for it, only the binary.

3 hours wasted on this problem so far. I'm thinking about just going back to Windows. I could setup a pptp vpn connection in XP in 2 minutes Can any pros out there help?

Thanks in advance.
