Installing PowerDNS

Hi,

I am trying to follow a guide to install Power DNS. I have a Virtual Server running CentOS 6 and I have done "yum update".

When I try to do the following command it says no package available:

I tried to find any packages with "dns" in the name and got the following:

How do I find out which repositories to add to yum so I can install PowerDNS?

I googled around and could not find anything, and all guides for how to install Power DNS on CentOS say I have to do it through yum.

PowerDNS is in the EPEL repo https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/EPEL

# yum install pdns

Finding the package / the repo : It's the first hit by Goggling PowerDNS :
> rpm.pbone.net redhat_el_6 pdns-2.9.22-10.el6 rpm →
→ A copy link location on the packages will reveal
"fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/epel/6/"

Hi Mark,

the best source for CentOS PowerDNS packages is http://www.monshouwer.eu/download/3th_party/. I believe you can just wget http://www.monshouwer.eu/download/3t...erver.el6.repo into yum.repos.d or the like, and start installing.

Thank's both for your responses. I added the EPEL repo and then installed it via yum
