Hi,
I am trying to follow a guide to install Power DNS. I have a Virtual Server running CentOS 6 and I have done "yum update".
When I try to do the following command it says no package available:
Code:
[root@30005921 yum.repos.d]# yum install pdns
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* base: mirror01.th.ifl.net
* extras: mirror01.th.ifl.net
* updates: mirror01.th.ifl.net
Setting up Install Process
No package pdns available.
Error: Nothing to do
[root@30005921 yum.repos.d]#
I tried to find any packages with "dns" in the name and got the following:
Code:
[root@30005921 yum.repos.d]# yum list | grep "dns"
avahi-compat-libdns_sd.i686 0.6.25-11.el6 base
avahi-compat-libdns_sd-devel.i686 0.6.25-11.el6 base
avahi-dnsconfd.i686 0.6.25-11.el6 base
dnsmasq.i686 2.48-5.el6 base
mod_dnssd.i686 0.6-2.el6 base
sblim-cmpi-dns.i686 1.0-1.el6 base
sblim-cmpi-dns-devel.i686 1.0-1.el6 base
sblim-cmpi-dns-test.i686 1.0-1.el6 base
[root@30005921 yum.repos.d]#
How do I find out which repositories to add to yum so I can install PowerDNS?
I googled around and could not find anything, and all guides for how to install Power DNS on CentOS say I have to do it through yum.
Thanks
- Mark
