the guide on phpbb.com does not tell how to create a db... asign it to a user etc.... please don't give me a link to the page of mysql docs... I just want to install phpbb forum... not to learn how to use mysql. Just tell me how to create a db and asign it to a user

Installing a DB is a whole other story. Read the docs and howto guides over at mysql.com if you need to learn how a database works, if mysql is what your using, etc.

PS. You should know a little about mysql if your going to be using a forum that totally relies on it, it would be stupid not to know nothing about it IMHO. Regards.
