installing Oracle 8 in Fedora???


how do i initialise and complete installation of Oracle 8 in Fedora Core 2? `still a newbie in this (pricise instruction please).

Have a look at Werner Puschitz's site - mainly the stuff on Installing Oracle 9i Database on Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 4, 3, 2.1, and Red Hat 9, 8.0, 7.3, 7.2, 7.1. You'll have to improvise for your version/distro but I've used the info there to set up Oracle 8i, 9i and 10g on Redhat, Fedora and Slackware systems...
