Installing openwebmail on RedHat 7.3

I am trying out openwebmail. I downloaded the rpm and installed openwebmail-2.30-20040103. When I attempt to access openwebmail from a web interface (http://mywebserver/cgi-bin/openwebmail/openwebmail.pl) I get an error "internal server error". I guess there are a couple of things I need to do after installation before this works correctly but now idea what and how. Could someone who is fluent in openwebmail kindly help?

one more thing, when I runt the .../openwebmail-tool.pl --init I get this error " /usr/bin/suidperl: bad interpreter: no such file or directory"

try as root

/etc/init.d/openwebmail or openwebmaild

It appears I need to recompile perl with suid support.
