I have 0 experience with OpenSUSE; However, there is an alternative.
NetbootCD-3.0 can netinstall any major distro incl OpenSUSE.
It's a 6.1MB hack of Tinycore-1.3rc3 and the older 2.2 version is 61MB and slax-based.

What's cool?
I got it for USB here; I have tested it but not with OpenSUSE, I installed Debian, Ubuntu,
and Fedora Rawhide with it.
Note, When you get to the main screen, choose to update it and it will grab the most
recent mirrors and newest debian daily builds, etc
My USB version is like 50MB cause it's got tinycore-1.3rc3 too as they use the same kernel.

So, check it out if you want.
