Exclamation Installing openSUSE 11.1 on old computer without CD drive

[Log in to get rid of this advertisement]
Hi,
I have been trying different methods for installing openSUSE 11.1 on an old Dell Latitude D600 laptop with corrupt CD/DVD Drive. So far I have gone through four days and yet no solution.

I have no current operating system on the laptop.

What is the best way to install OpenSUSE on this computer? Could I do a network install (and if so how), or can I plug the HDD into another computer, install openSUSE and the put the HDD back into the laptop?

Thanks,
James

How about a net-install, or net-ish install?

Check out these links for some info and starting points:

Thanks for the replies,
There is a USB port but I don't have a usb harddrive, or a memory stick big enough.
I'll have a look at a net-ish install.
