Installing OpenCV and some other problems with linux

Hi to all..

I've just installed linux for the first time, and I'm confronting with some difficulties.. I need to run OpenCV on linux, I've already installed driver for my camera and pkg-config. Can some one write short tutorial how to install openCV with all steps, 'cause I don't know much about linux and if it's not problem can someone explain what else do I need to do to set up my linux work properly. I've installed ubuntu 7.04.

thanks in advance

Matija

First, I'd install the latest version of Ubuntu, which is 9.04. That'll make anything you do a bit easier, having the latest versions of things.

Then, you might want to head over to the OpenCV page and read the installation instructions (http://opencv.willowgarage.com/wiki/...stallingOpenCV). If you have specific problems, please post them after you've gone through that page.
