installing open suse with win xp as os
 
i want to know how to install opensuse if i already have win xp...do i require partitioning and what softwares are used for it.please guide me.

You will need nothing third party sort to install open Suse over Win Xp. When partition table is shown by Suse and it asks where to install just remember not to delete the already existing win partitions and and install in the free space. It will install itself in the free space and install grub with option to boot either of the operating systems.

Use a tool such as partition magic, to resize your win partition to leave enough space for linux.

May be, in the future you will drop windows for linux.
