Red face Installing Nvidia GeForce 3 Drivers on Mandrake 10.0

I am having an extreme problem trying to install the Nvidia Geforce 3 drivers on Mandrake 10.0. This is my first time using linux. I got everything else to work but the tv out for my video card. I have been working on this for the last week and I am getting frustrated. I downloaded NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run. After shutting down the kde and and going into the "dos" type mode, I typed sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-4363.run. Then it opens the installation wizard then it says it is having a problem finding the kernel and the program quits. I tried some of the other discussion board questions, but none worked for me. Can I get some detailed instructions on how to install the Nvidia GeForce 3 drivers?

MDK 10 is brand new with a kernal upgrade. Possibly no drivers available yet.....

Also I am as new to linux as you appear to be, and I found MDK 10 a nightmare. MDK 9.2 works better for me, and I have seen where several people MUCH better at this than I am have said the same.

Most distributions don't install the kernel source code by default (as its about 150mb of space). Just install the kernel-source for your kernel (you can get the correct version by typing "uname -a" in a terminal window) and try again. I bet you'll find success.
