Installing NS2 on red hat9

I have never used NS2 before, any instructions for installing NS2 on red hat.

If that's the original RH9, codename shrike with a 2.4 kernel (try the cmd 'uname -a'), then it hasn't been updated/supported (inc security!) for years.
Try a current distro eg RH Fedora 10 (or Centos = free ver of RHEL).
