Installing - Monitor Error

When I try installing Red Hat Linux (which I have DLed the .iso's for them and burned onto discs) onto my alienware system I get a monitor frequency error. It happens after I start loading anaconda...I see it detect my monitor and then When it starts loading the anaconda program.

I get an error from my monitor saying that the Frequency is out of range. I can get the specific error for you if you want, but I'm too tired to do it now.

My system specs:

Pentium 4 2.8 GHz
512 MB SDRAM
120 GB seagate HD
NEC 19" monitor

if any other info is needed...just ask...

Howzit

Try installing Linux in text mode then when finished and it boots up run the cmd redhat-config-monitor then run startx to see if config is correct if not press Ctrl-alt backspace to kill X. Once working fine edit /etc/inittab file replace the 3 for a 5 for it to startup in GUI mode in future id:3:initdefault:
