so you downloaded the cd's 1,2 and 3?
well, you'll have to change your BIOS so it says that you can boot from cd
then you'll have to put in the bootcd (normally cd 1)
if everything went oke, you should see a mandrake installer starting up, which is very intuitive and easy to follow
be shure to know what kind of hardware is in your pc and how to divide your HD in partitions

maybe you should give us some more information as well:
are you installing linux on a clean machine, do you want to dual boot it alongside windows or do you want to replace windows with linux?

EDIT: if any of the terms I'm using aren't clear, then just post them and I'll try and explain

hallo !
can you enter in the setup of the laptop : the BIOS ?
you need to say to your computer to boot from another device than the hard drive. In the BIOS you can do it and you must use CD at the primary boot device. Search in the BIOS, maybe at the boot of your box, press F2 or F10 key.

I have done these step but my pc hasnīt a bios.It has toshiba control panel and I have tried to do that but maybe it doesnīt recognize the cd(I don`t know if this cd is the appropriate..). My problem is with the files and with the boot, install part, not with my bios. What should i do?? I do boot and danach install oder install and danach boot??? Should I have done hd partitions bevor booting, bevor installing??? Welche files do I need in booting oder in install??
