No you only need the three iso's.

I would burn the iso like this. First run cdrecord -scanbus to see where your cdwriter is located:

cdrecord -scanbus
scsibus0:
        0,0,0     0) 'SAMSUNG ' 'CDRW/DVD SM-308B' 'T100' Removable CD-ROM
        0,1,0     1) 'ATAPI   ' 'CD-ROM 52XMax   ' '1.12' Removable CD-ROM
        0,2,0     2) *
        0,3,0     3) *
        0,4,0     4) *
        0,5,0     5) *
        0,6,0     6) *
        0,7,0     7) *
Then I use the above info to burn the iso. NOTE: Your speed may be different.
cdrecord -v speed=4 dev=0,0,0 /path/to/mandrake-9.2-cd1.iso

Which Mandrake do you try to install?
I read here that 9.2 is buggy and that's the experience I had with it myself.
9.1 was a super robust system and I am going to downgrade tonight.
