Installing Lubuntu or MacPup on iBook G4?

Hello Everyone,

I have an iBook G4 that has been sitting around for awhile and I want to put MacPup or Lubuntu on it.

Specs:
Power PC G4
CPU Speed: 933 Mhz
Memory: 256MB of RAM
Mac OS X: Version 10.3.9

I would prefer to install MacPup on it but would this be possible? If not MacPup then I think Lubuntu would be a good option as I noticed there is an ISO for Mac's and the PowerPC models.

Any advice or recommendations for doing this would be greatly appreciated.

Macpup sounds like a great option.
Debian has a PPC version as well; you can install whatever DE you like to keep it lightweight.

I booted Lubuntu from the disc and was trying it out. It was kind of slow but I know that is to be expected.

I haven't seen much about MacPup on Macs but I hope that works better from the disc.

Does anyone want to recommend a place to get RAM sticks for older Macs? I think I will upgrade the RAM so I can put Lubuntu on this iBook.
