Installing KDE apps in Gnome
 
Can it be done? Such as installing Quanta Plus in Gnome, even though it's made for KDE.

yes, totally, as long as you have kde installed on your machine, or at least the qt toolkit (enough in most cases) then yuo should be fine. yuo may loose some featrures such as applet docking etc tho
