installing kde 3.1 and new kernel
any help on how to do either of these? im not in the mood to reinstall linux for the 10th time. any help is appreciated. thanks.

There are no KDE 3.1 RPMs for Mandrake 9, so if you want it you need to wait for them or install from source (it takes some time, depending on your computer speed). Kernel: I think you can get RPM from the Cooker or compile. But the decision is yours. I can help you if you decide to install from source. :)

concerning the kernel (will wait for new mandrake version for kde 3.1): whats the easiest and most fool-proof way?
