Installing KDE 2.2.2 in Redhat 7.2
I downloaded all the RPM's from http://download.kde.org/stable/2.2.2/RedHat/7.2/i386/
and I'm having problems getting them installed. I'm not quite sure which order to install them in, or if I should drop out of KDE and just install them all from the command prompt and then load KDE up afterwards. Any help would be appreciated. :) |
RH 7.1 and KDE 2.2.1
Please learn from my mistake (hopefully this is useful).
I tried installing KDE 2.2.1 under RH 7.1 by forcing the installation in text mode. KDE itself works great this way, however I cannot print from my work station. When I try I get one of two errors. Either it states it cannot find libsol.so.1 (which I can find no reference to anywhere I have looked) or it states: Error Printing test page to que lp Error reason: unable to print file: client-error-not-found. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. I'm at the end of my rope. Thanks, D |
