installing java[Problems with azuerus]

Hi.. I'm pretty new in linux and new in fedora core 3.
I downloaded the java jre-1_5_0-linux-i586-rpm.bin package.
Installed it by typing ./jre-1_5_0-linux-i586-rpm.bin
the directory usr/java/jre1.5.0_02/ was created

I downloaded azureus2.00.ppc.tar.bz2. Unpacked it. I configured the azureus runfile..
But THIS is the message i get:

#!/bin/bash

######## CONFIGURE ########
JAVA_PROGRAM_DIR="/usr/java/jre1.5.0_02/bin" # use full path to java bin dir, ex. "/usr/java/j2sdk1.4.2/bin/"
#PROGRAM_DIR="/home/username/apps/azureus" # use full path to Azureus bin dir
##########i#################

MSG0="Loading Azureus:"
MSG1="Starting Azureus..."
MSG2="Java exec found in "
MSG3="OOPS, your java version is too old "
MSG4="You need to upgrade to JRE 1.4.x or newer from http://java.sun.com"
MSG5="Suitable java version found "
MSG6="Configuring environment..."
MSG7="OOPS, you don't seem to have a valid JRE "
MSG8="OOPS, unable to locate java exec in "
MSG9=" hierarchy"
MSG10="Java exec not found in PATH, starting auto-search..."
MSG11="Java exec found in PATH. Verifying..."

EDIT: I have the same problem with limewire to..
So I have to install JAVA correct... but i follow the instructions on www.java.com but it still not work!

Seems like java is not in your $PATH. What is the output of: echo $PATH
