Installing GTK2 themes on Xubuntu

Hi. I'm just learning/getting into the whole Linux scene. I was wondering can anyone give me a step by step guide to installing GTK2 themes on Xubuntu. I understand that Xubuntu uses KDE but is it possible to load GTK2 themes on the KDE-based Xubuntu? Thank you all for your time!

on ubuntu you can use
apt-cache search blabla
to get an impress of what may be available

you can then install packages like

sudo apt-get install gtk2-engines

if you run kde you proabably need
gtk-qt-engine
(as kde runs with qt libraries)

then
##################################################
gtk2-engines
gtk2-engines-blueheart - Blueheart GTK+ 2.x Theme
gtk2-engines-cleanice - CleanIce themes for GTK+ 2.x
gtk2-engines-geramik - Geramik GTK2.x Theme
gtk2-engines-magicchicken - Magic Chicken themes for GTK+ 2.x
gtk2-engines-mythbuntu - Mythbuntu GTK+ 2.x Theme
gtk2-engines-qtcurve - This is a set of widget styles for Gtk2 based apps
gtk2-engines-qtpixmap - QtPixmap GTK2.x theming engine
gtk2-engines-sapwood - Pixbuf-based theme for GTK+ 2.x
gtk2-engines-sapwood-dbg - Pixbuf-based theme for GTK+ 2.x, debug symbols
gtk2-engines-spherecrystal - A blue vector theme for GTK+ 2.x
gtk2-engines-thingeramik - ThinGeramik GTK2.x Theme
gtk2-engines-wonderland - Wonderland theme for GTK+ 2.0
####################################################

but im just guessing...
