installing gpdf

Hi! I'm trying to install the gpdf and I get this:
checking for perl... /usr/bin/perl
configure: error: XML::Parser perl module is required for intltool
Can someone tell me what I have to do?(I have perl already installed)

P.S Is there any way to see two pages simultaneously(the bottom of one and the top of the other) when scrolling in Xpdf?
