Installing goblinX in triple boot laptop... no boot in the other linux OS
 

First of all, Hello!
Secondly, sorry for my english.
Thirdly, my question :

I have a laptop running windowsXP (gaming), linuxMint (my OS), ubuntu 7.10 (for a project i had). I finished my project and i thought i could try using another OS like goblinX. I installed goblinX, everything worked fine.. When i restarted the computer it gave me the three options and i chose linuxMint to start. It never did...

I couldnt find why, so i installed LinuxMint AGAIN in the third partition, so now my laptop run XP,mint And Mint. When i chose to run my main linuxMint (the one i had from the beginning) it checked the hard drive, found an error (i ddint have time to see what was written on the screen), restarted the computer and i booted to LInuxMint without a problem...

My question is : why?? Why did it do that? What might be the problem and what could i have done?

Who knows? could be a multitude of things. What you should do is install goblinX and put the boot loader in it's partition, not the MBR, and add an entry for it in the linuxMint boot configuration file you're using now.

You can reinstall GoblinX and not lilo... you can continue using your lilo settings or grub... There are some topics in GoblinX forum about this.
