first I removed my current version of gcc i.e gcc 5.2
then now I'm trying to install gcc 4.3, its showing this error
please help
Package gcc-4.3 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
is only available from another source
actually the installation is compatible with gcc-4.3 only and I dont want to use ubuntu 8.10 because further commands are not executing in ubuntu 8.10. So, please suggest me which ubuntu version would allow me to install gcc-4.3.

I don't understand. Are you using Ubuntu 15.10 or 8.10? I hope it is not the latter because it is severely outdated.
Although there are caveats, you can have multiple versions of gcc on the same computer. Far better to do this than to remove the default gcc on a system - it is a very important component of any system.
However, if you just want to set up a mini not very up-to-date system to run one program, and can live with the fact that it will be full of security holes, then fair enough. You can find out which versions of the major software each Ubuntu version supports here: http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=ubuntu
