Installing from CD-ROM trouble

I got a cd in the mail from PC World. I have never used the CD in Mandrake before. Here are the icons I have. How do I fire the CD up? I clicked on start.exe, nothing.

Thanks and keep it simple please.

file:/mnt/cdrom/media
file:/mnt/cdrom/xtras
file:/mnt/cdrom/autorun.inf
file:/mnt/cdrom/discl.txt
file:/mnt/cdrom/start.bmp
file:/mnt/cdrom/Start.exe
file:/mnt/cdrom/start.ini

Erm, I'm presuming that youre putting the disc into the drive and THEN rebooting to see if the system will boot from the drive ?

Thanks. I downloaded the rpm but still unclear on how to and where to install .rpm. (I just went to the lib and have a couple of books on Linux, still stunned right now)

Downloaded...file:/home/coop/Documents/wine-20040213-mdk.i586.rpm

Is that the correct one? So go to a command line and type...

rpm -ivh wine-20040213-mdk.i586.rpm

Thanks.

yub you got it
but there is going to be more to it than that ....
after it is installed your going to have to setup the wine config file ...
and have a fake windows drive setup, etc ...

just to automate a little bit of this process i suggest after you do in fact install that rpm, that you go to my sig below and click on the frankscorner link, and go to the downloads section and grab the utility called "winetools"
run that, and it will setup a default config (which should work) and a fake drive for you

goodluck!

Downloaded Winetools, thanks.

So now what?

I went to Konsole and typed what I had above there and it says no such file or dir. I navigated to that dir and got...

[root@h00a0cc5fd9d3 winetools]# rpm -ivh wine-20040213-mdk.i586.rpm
error: open of wine-20040213-mdk.i586.rpm failed: No such file or directory

Thanks for the help.

(PS is there a way to change..h00a0cc5fd9d3)
