Installing Firebird

I can't seem to install firebird on my RH9 system:

[root@annubis mozilla]# ./configure
--Snip--
configure: error: Test for GTK failed.
[root@annubis mozilla]# rpm -q gtk+
gtk+-1.2.10-25
[root@annubis mozilla]#

Why is this happening, I have GTK+ installed ...

You need a different version or the gtk development packages.

Get a binary release of Firebird, my man !
