Hello,

Where did you download the file from? I just want to verify.... But most .bin files you need to chmod to execute, then run it to extract the contents/install, etc. You will need to run the following:
Code:
chmod +x file.bin
./file.bin
Of course, replace with the actual name of the file....

BUT....
Read here to install adobe reader in Fedora 15 BEFORE you run the bin file... You are doing too much, as you can install the rpm via yum - http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mj...5.html#acrobat

Cheers,

Josh

you install the adobe REPO
then type in "yum install AdobeReader_??????"

please fallow the instructions
http://www.mjmwired.net/resources/mj...5.html#acrobat

if you did not set up "sudo" - not set up BY DEFAULT
use " su - "

install the software repository
install the SECURITY key
install the reader

BUT there is a allready and BETTER pdf reader/writer installed by default
and there is no need to install anything
" evince"
but if not
Code:
su -
yum install evince

I could not figure out how to print a downloaded document and thought adobe reader could do it. I have since figured out how to print a doc., but I still want to figure this out.My problem is I have forgotten how hard dos was and need to slow down and follow instructions. I already know that this is way better than windows I just have been doing windows a lot longer.I am 67 and still learning. thank you for your help.

I think the print is still broken on adobe's linux version ( has been for years )

that is why "evince" ( gtk) or "okular" ( kde) are in the fedora repos
and evince is the normal DEFAULT pdf reader with Gnome

for pdf's use the default program in the base fedora repo
for Microsoft office 2001 era .doc files use libreoffice
libreoffice also opens MS Office 2010 "docx" and MS Office 2007 "docx"

this is fedora 15 ( the newest of the new) - there also WILL be a bunch and a bunch of software bugs in fedora
so DO NOT expect everything to work right . It will NOT in fedora .Expect to have to fix the OS if a update kills something -- they have and they WILL in the future .

you might want to read through the fedora documentation
http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/index.html
