installing divx on rh9

i have just downloaded divx4linux and i cannot install it.

the file is called divx4linux-std-20030428.tar.gz
and i have already unpacked it:
>> tar xvzf divx4linux-std-20030428.tar.gz

going to the directory where it was unpacked and listing the contents:
>> cd divx4linux-20030428/
>> ls
>> decore.h encore2.h libdivxdecore.so portab.h
DivX MPEG-4 Codec and Its Interface.htm install.sh libdivxencore.so

what am i supposed to do?
the usual procedures, like ./configure && make && make install, didn't work.

you have an exectuable script file called "install.sh" bit of a hint i'd have thoguht...

if you just use a decent media player like http://mplayerhq.hu then you won't need to install it anyway.

use a player like.... mplayer... ooh deja vu mplayer will automatically detect the presence of the divx4linux libs if installed, but may well decide not to use them, in preference of the ffmpeg codecs that come with it.
