ok so i forget the formatting thing but what about the space on the stick? anyway i dl the iso from the url u gave so i will try with the cp command now.

Now i tried these commands:

[root@random Downloads]# cp firmware-8.1.0-amd64-netinst.iso /dev/sdb
cp: overwrite ‘/dev/sdb’? y
[root@random Downloads]#

then i use the sync command and then reboot, but it still boots into fedora like normal:/

maybe sdb is wrong?

To check the block device is correct, plug the stick and use:

ran those commands and got this, as far as i can see sdb is the right one?! Why cant it just work!!

can see if everything is right here? this stuff doesnt tell me much..yet..

Didnt see the Legacy mode reply...changed Legacy Mode to enable in BIOS and Debian installation started right away!

Thank you everybody that replied trying to help, i am much thankfull. (Or however its written)
