installing dc++


while installing dcgui -qt, i got the following error message

not using lib directory suffix
checking for X... configure: error: Can't find X includes. Please check your installation and add the correct paths!

plz instruct me on what to do

You need to install either the XFree86 or Xorg development packages, depending on which X server you are using. You shoiuld be able to find out easily by checking your distro at www.distrowatch.com -- the development packages should be on you install media. Please let us know what distro you are using if you need any more help figuring it out.

i am using madrake 10.0. even after installing Xfree 86, the same error message appears
not using lib directory suffix
