I've tried this little distro and it really is something! But now i want to install it on an older computer (PII) which can't boot from cd ;(
i can access the cd with the usual D: prompt, but can i start it without boot? my intentions is to install it on the HD...
please give som advice over here >>

my boot options are: diskette, HD boot, and something called PnP

big thx, didn't notice that. it says:

In Linux, mount your cdrom, and do this:
dd if=boot.img of=/dev/fd0
From MS/DOS you need a utility called rawrite2.exe to make an image out of the same file.

since i don't have linux i can't do it the first way. and the second way i have to find som file called rawrite, let's say i found that file, but how do i do it then? i will of course experiment by myself a while, but if anyone just have any ideas on how to do this, they're welcome to tell me.
btw: can i make that disk in Damn Small Linux? and in that case how, thx

Assuming your floppy drive is A, and your CD-ROM drive is D, I think you would do this from the DOS prompt:

D:
rawrite2.exe -f boot.img -d A:

Just one more silly question: do you know if you can access files from computers in the network with this Linux client? i can't find such info on their website.
