Welcome to LQ.

The download command is ( also ) :
svn co http://www-pcmdi.llnl.gov/svn/repository/cdat/tags/5.2 cdat-5.2-src

When you are asked for password / user name etc., just hit <Enter>
some times, and the download will continue.
The missing folder ( that require password ), cdat-5.2-src/Packages/cmor/
can be plugged out from cdat-5.2.tar.bz2
http://freefr.dl.sourceforge.net/pro...at-5.2.tar.bz2

Probably use the full path, like :
./configure --prefix=/home/babar/cdat-5.2-src/result

! And the prerequisites should be installed before you start the configuring.
# yum install flex bison gcc-c++ gcc-gfortran libXmu-devel libXt-devel tcsh

Throughout the install process, different problems might come up (packages aren't found, things don't build, etc.). In general, if that happens, my advice is to just delete everything in the target directory and the source directory, unpack the tar file again,
and reinstall. (The recommended way is to just clean up the build directory,
but I like the brute force approach to cleaning.)
Sometimes this is enough to fix the problem.""
( Comment: This can additionally be used : make clean && make distclean ).

Hello, I am trying to download cdat again, since my system was encrypted and I lost my installation. I am having the same problem as above,l i.e., request for username and password from subversion (same message).

As suggested above, I have hit <Enter> and it keeps asking me for Username, Password, until it kicks me out.

Are there any other solutions?

Thanks

Jose M. Rodriguez

Thanks!

Thanks, it worked with the other sites you suggested. Maybe the PCMDI people should update the webpage, since that is the first place a lot of people would go to.

Jose
