Smile installing both xp and slackware

I was using slackware, because of the startx problem, I deleted it and
installed XP. Now again I want to install Slackware and configure X.
But I don't want to delete XP.

Can anybody guide me to install Slackware so that I'll be able to boot
both Slackware and XP.

Use a gparted live cd to downsize your windows partition(s) and create Linux partitions in the freed space, then install Slackware.

Briefly:
disable the page file on XP
reboot
defragment
resize XP partition using GParted or QtParted on a live CD. Leave free space unallocated
re-enable page file on XP
use cfdisk during Slackware installation to create new partitions.
