installing backtrack 3 on an external harddrive.

Is it possible to install backtrack3 on my external HD?
I know booting from usb is an option in my bios.
I'm not trying to do a live version either I wanna do a full install on the external.
So is it possible? and if so how would I go about it?
I'm assuming i still need to dl the iso and put it on cd...
and will this new install involve a repartition of my external hd?
is it simply a matter of changing the install location or is there more?

You will need to partition your external hard disk first. Then install backtrack onto the disk as a live distribution. When logging out of backtrack you have the option of saving your session which you can save to the other partition on the external hard disk. You just need to load it at boot time.
