Question Installing ATI Radeon 9800 on Debian 3.0

When i'm installing Debian, i found some problem regarding the installation of ATI Radeon 9800. First of all, when they are configurating the X Windows, I don't know what should i choose for the vendor. I've tried using ati as the vendor and i cannot boot up with X windows. In the XFree86.0.log, the error message that got generated was "No device found BUSid:0:1:0

Can someone please help me on this problem? Thanks alot
