Installing applications
I've recently installed Fedora Core 1. Last night in fact. I've never used linux before, so I was wondering if anyone would mind telling me how to install programs/applications. I'm afraid windows has eaten away at my mind and dulled my logic.

Wow, that's a huge topic...
In Fedora, you can execute a rpm file and follow the screens - more or less - like in win. These installable files are called packages and have the extension .rpm. You can compile from source too, but try rpm first. |
