installing application error?


i am new to Ubuntu/Linux installed it on my netbook yesterday and i love it but when i go to install new applications it tells me to type in my password and after i type it in and press enter it gives me this error: An unhandlable error occured There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry.... it gives me the option to view more details when i click it reads: Traceback (most recent call last):

D= please help!!! any ideas?????

Hello,

Please open a terminal and run
Code:
sudo dpkg --configure -a
And see if the error continues.
