Installing a particular man page
I'm using Slackware 12.1 and it seems like the man page for netdb.h doesn't come along with it. However the man pages for the functions declared in that file exist on my system.
How do I install the man page for that header file alone? I don't have the bandwidth to download an entire set of man pages. Although it wouldn't be a problem if it's part of a small set of files. Thank you for your time. |
The concrete packaging depends on the distro, in Gentoo it's part of the man-pages-posix package.

Thanks for the reply!
That's the first place I checked. I couldn't find the netdb.h on that website, but I can find plenty of sites that offer the man page online. I just want to know where can I find the man pages for download so that I can use them with the man command. |
I uploaded a copy to my server,

I created a folder called man0p in the man pages path and added the file to it. That worked.. thanks a lot! Could you tell me where can I get individual files like the one you provided? I'm able to find the man page online, but when I ask for a download it offers me an entire set of pages. Thanks once again.

I have no idea, I just picked it from my system as-is and copied it into my server so you could download it.
In my system, it was installed as part of the package I said in my other post. |
