Installing a Gui and using NomachineNX or something like it on CentOS

Ok well I have tried using this guide:

Code:
http://www.7ota.com/blog/2008/09/install-vnc-server-on-centos/
and I am able to setup everything correctly, but I just get a grey screen when trying to connect via VNC. I have used Nomachie`s Nx before and I like it and Im wondering how to install it on CentOS 5.

My second problem is I need some sort of a GUI. My choice of a Linux GUI would be KDE. I have tried installing KDE with the command:
Code:
yum groupinstall "KDE Desktop Environment"
but I dont know how to start it.

Thanks for the help in advance.

To get a login screen for KDE you should be able to just run startx.
