No, I'm having the apparently classic trouble of getting my NetGear WG311v3 driver, ndisgtk, Network Manager, and wpa_supplicant to get along. I've been reading and experimenting for days.

It seems that the huge amount of threads and How-Tos predate the Network Manager, so I might just remove it and try the tutorials again. Maybe Tuesday night.

Otherwise, I'll post my iwconfigs and stuff here to see if someone can see what I cannot.

To sum up:

The installer hung because it didn't like my mouse - had to connect USB Logitech mouse to PS/2 port.

Netgear WG311v3 will not work with latest wpa_supplicant - bought Linksys WUSB54GC and it works fine. I'll figure out which driver and add it to the HCL.

Discovered that rebooting after a hardware change may not work - may have to use "recovery" boot instead. Has worked every time.

Anything from now on, I'll hop another thread or start a new one.
