installed wrong version of up2date RPM -- did I screw things up?

Hi, total newbie, running RH 8 on Dell Poweredge server. Needed to update Red Hat Client Network Software.

I downloaded and installed the versions for Red Hat 8 i386 (that was the only version for RH ver. 8 it offered), but found out at startup it says its i686. I havent noticed anything strange in its behavior. Did I screw something up? And how can I go back if so?

You should be cool - i386 and i686 both just mean intel architecture.
It's kind of a square and rectangle thing - all rectangles are squares, not all squares are rectangles.
I386 refers to older intel hardware, i686 refers to newer - you can run i386 software on i686 machines, but you can't run i686 on i386.
