Installed trustix apache doesn't respond

I just installed trustix, ran /usr/sbin/apachectl start, but no other computer gets a response from the trustix computer.

I just get not found. I also ran ifconfig -A and saw that my ethernet card has an IP address from the local DHCP server.

What's wrong?

Could be lots of things. Do you have port 80 open in your iptables? Are you behind a router? is httpd running? Is httpd.conf configured correctly?

We need more info from you to figure this out...

I don't know. I am running a firewall, at least according to the installation. How do I open port 80?

Are you behind a router?
No

Don't know, don't know. Probably not. What is diff between apachectl an httpd? What to I need to do to configure it correctly?

I tried lynx http://127.0.0.1 and lynx http://localhost

in both cases it said it can't access the file and terminated.
