Installed Knoppix 3.4 and my FAT32 space disappeared

Hey out there

I just recently installed Knoppix 3.4 and all was going great. (I had tried 3.3 and it was too slow for my tastes). My computer is set up as a dual boot system with Windows XP using LILO.

I also have a FAT32 partition with all my music, documents and whatnot. Knoppix auto-mounts this drive and it works great. However, XP no longer recognizes the drive.

Is there any way to fix this?

As a side note: How do I safely uninstall LILO in the case that I get rid of linux and have it auto-boot to windows?

Thanks for any help

Hi,
LILO is installed in the MBR of your hard disk, so I think the only way to 'uninstall' it is to either format the disk or make Windows write a new one (overwrite LILO), I think Windows have a tool or something for this included.

Peace!

I have the same problem, but have not found a way to fix it yet. Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance.
